I am a girl who has a sweet tongue. Since my childhood I love chocolate and ice cream. Bad, I know 🙂

Anyway, when I planned trip to Rome, on one hand it was because I love an Italian cuisine. I have already wrote a post about it, which you can find here. This time it’s about all of their desserts and sweet treatments.

I  love coffee. Its taste, flavor and just the smell of coffee. So it’s no surprise that also I like tiramisu. I wanted to try the real Italian way of it, and I must say that I was really surprise of what I was getting. This one is a completely different one than the one I know. It was more creamy, not too many biscuits in it. Top was sprinkled by cocoa; sweet, not the bitter one. The cream was light but filling at the same time.

I did enjoy this tiramisu and I would definitely recommend it. As long as you don’t mind the creaminess of it.

Meaning an Italian version/translation of Cheesecake. 🙂

I can’t tell you that much about its flavor and taste as a friend of mind had it. The only thing is, that it was not a typical cheesecake as you might know. More like a cake than a cheesecake. It was missing the nice creamy part of it. A part from that, she did enjoy it but .. 🙂

The best thing about an Italian cuisine is their gelato. For those who has no idea what it is, it’s their ice cream! I was in Rome during Christmas holidays, so to find a shop with some gelato was not that easy as it would be during spring/summer. But once you find it, it’s so worth it! 🙂

You can choose from many flavors. If you prefer something to refresh you,  have something more fruity, or if you like those chocolate bars a.k.a Snickers, Kinder Bueno. You can find this too. It is so difficult to choose which one to have first.

You get a really big portion only for €2. Not sure if I remember it right. The price might change through spring/summer. Or be different in a different part of Italy. Just keep this on your mind 🙂

Anyway, I think that this price is really low for a big portion of an ice cream, you can get a biscuit, chocolate toping (which is really delicious! They cover the whole ice cream in hot chocolate which will freeze, so you’ll get an extra chocolate flavor to it), or you can get a cream. All is included in the price which I find really amazing and it just keeps you going to get more and more 🙂

If you were in Italy or Rome, which sweet treatment did you prefer the most? When it comes to gelato, which one do you recommend? Is there something you have tried and I did not mention it at all. Please share all of your experience, or if you are going over there, what do you want to try the most? 🙂
