When I saw this palette for the first time, I knew it must be a first product by Charlotte Tilbury I’d like to try. It actually looks much nicer in a real life than on a photo. Those little stars on each of eyeshadow kind of made me not wanting to even touch it, so I wouldn’t destroy it 🙂
A pigmentation of this palette is really good. Shadows have buttery consistency. It goes on smoothly. Colors are easily blend and they match altogether too. All colors in this palette seem to have a golden base in them.
As you can see from a photo above, starting on a left side on top, the first color suppose to highlight your eyes. You can apply it under your brows, or into a corner of your eyes, meaning the place close to your nose. Hopefully it makes a sense 🙂 The second color is the color which you apply all over your lid. In the bottom, on a left side we have a darker brown shadow. It has gold/red undertones. It suppose to go to crease of your eyes, to make a nice smoky eye look. Last color is a black one. This color is really well pigmented. You can make an eyeliner with it. If I’m being honest, this color is the only one I did not use properly yet.
You can do lots of looks with this palette, depending on you. What suits you, what you’d prefer to wear, what’s the occasion. Here are 2 looks I’ve tried.
My first look is kind of an every day look. For this one I chose top colors. I used the lightest color all over my lid, did not forget corners of my eyes as well as I added a little bit under my eye brows to add an extra highlight. A second top color I added into crease of my eyes to make a smoky eye look, and made a line under my eyes too.
For my second look I decided to go a little bit darker. For that look I used a second color from top, the one on right side. I used it all over my lid. To make a smoky eye look, I added a bottom color on left into my crease. Then I blended it altogether until it made kind of a lost effect.
What I love about this palette is, it has become very quickly as my every-day-go-to kind of palette. You can use it for a light day look or make a dramatic evening look. If you don’t have time to make any smoky eye look, you can use any shadow on its own and still, it will make a nice look.
